KOHAR (Symphony Orchestra & Choir), founded in 1997, is an independent musical and cultural institution under the patronage of Harout Khatchadourian of Lebanon, who along with his brothers Shahe and Nar Khatchadourian, entirely sustained all activities and concerts in tribute to, and in memory of, their late father Aram; naming the orchestra in honor of their mother 'Kohar'.
